Lanco is excited to announce that we have an exciting internal opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor 1.
Electrical Supervisor 1 Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Time Allocation: This role is expected to maintain a balance between direct and indirect work activities, with an approximate split of 70% direct time (e.g., Electrical Tech Job Descriptions) and 30% indirect time (e.g., supervisor tasks, planning, or internal meetings).
Electrical Supervisor 1 Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Time Allocation: This role is expected to maintain a balance between direct and indirect work activities, with an approximate split of 70% direct time (e.g., Electrical Tech Job Descriptions) and 30% indirect time (e.g., supervisor tasks, planning, or internal meetings).
- Supervise Electrical Technicians during the assembly, wiring and power-up of equipment (i.e. “Module” & “Systems”)
- Coordinate module power ups and system level support with Manufacturing Supervisor 2
- Assist in training Electrical Technicians ET1, ET2, ET3.
- Be the primary contact for Controls Design to review new standard wiring practices and component integration
- Develop and maintain all Lanco Electrical documentation:
- Work Instructions
- ISO templates (i.e Checklists)
- Mentor Checklist
- Training information
- Coordinate with outside vendors and suppliers to review new technologies with regards to wiring / preparation equipment
- Primary internal electrical contact to assist in troubleshooting wiring / component issues, (assist Electrical Technicians ET1, ET2, ET3.
- Assist Electrical Technicians in identifying and implementing standards improvements (Ideas, AR, ECN, OFI)
- Assist MPL’s as necessary to facilitate the prompt close of open items.
- Ethernet Network Wiring techniques and troubleshooting (Lanco to train)
- Perform field service work, with MPL supervision or with no supervision, (i.e. solo) as required for installation assistance of equipment at customer’s facility with possible 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift requirements
- Review station kit status in conjunction with Module Assembly System timing
- Ensure compliance of the technical specifications as it relates to the module’s assembly
- Implement and maintain standard wiring process changes and improvements
- Assist trainer in preparing materials for all electrical / wiring classes
- Read, abide by and enforce company sexual harassment policy
- Keep notes for and prepare annual budget items
- Incorporate 5S and Waste Reduction practices in area (aka- “LEAN Manufacturing”)
- Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews for all Electrical Technicians with Manufacturing Supervisor 2, 3 and / or Manufacturing Manager
- Work with the Safety Coordinator to ensure safety compliance is maintained in the build of all equipment (proper guarding and proper integration of safety devices)
- Travel is required
- Participate in the Company Idea System making continuous improvements as required
- A.S. in electrical field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of direct work experience
- 1-2 years of Lanco electrical assembly
- Microsoft Office experience, (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Complete in-house Lanco training
- Can demonstrate a working knowledge of all Electrical Technician 2 requirements
- Advancement based on the discretion of the Manufacturing Supervisors, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager
- Familiar with purchasing and materials processes including completing BOM change forms
- Familiar with engineering processes and documentation
- Any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations
