While the ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago area, we are open to considering individuals located in the Central North region. This role requires a minimum of 50% travel. When not traveling, the position is remote. Additionally, our headquarters is in Portland, Maine, and quarterly on-site visits are required.

Lanco Integrated is seeking a Remote Sales Account Manager - Capital Equipment & Automation to help drive growth and expand our presence in key markets. In this role, you’ll manage and grow existing client relationships while actively identifying new opportunities for our custom manufacturing and turnkey automation systems. We’re looking for a results-driven sales professional with a strong background in capital equipment and custom automation sales - someone who understands complex technical solutions and can translate customer needs into successful project outcomes. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment and is passionate about solving real-world production challenges.

Sales Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support team, sales, and market goals by retaining and expanding profitable customer relationships
  • Travel to customer sites to promote company capabilities and assess initial concepts and feasibility for automation or build-to-print projects
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations; assist with planning and participation in trade shows
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to grow the company’s client base
  • Stay informed on industry trends, technology, competition, customer CAPEX cycles, and market conditions, share insights through regular reports
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and update activities daily in the CRM system
  • Engage with clients at a technical level to understand their needs and propose tailored automation solutions
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering, other technical teams, and Supply Chain to develop and present optimal solutions

Sales Account Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • 7 - 10 years of proven success in capital equipment and custom automation sales
  • Experience selling custom automated machinery and turnkey production systems
  • Background in automated assembly, test systems, and account management
  • Industry knowledge in medical, consumer products, defense, electronics, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
  • Skilled at understanding customer needs and developing strategic solutions
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive in driving sales
  • Well-connected within capital equipment and custom automation manufacturing industry segments to support lead generation
  • Willing and able to travel frequently
