Lanco Integrated is seeking a Controls Programmer of all levels to join our growing team. We are willing to train the right candidate. The Controls Programmer is accountable for planning, designing, programming, and debugging the software that runs our custom machines. From project kickoff through customer installation and including field support at our customer facilities, the Controls Programmer supports all software and controls hardware of the project. The Controls Programmer maintains effective communication channels with all stakeholders throughout the project. The Controls Programmer will work with the team to ensure the project is executed with budget and delivery date constraints, while meeting customer expectations and Lanco's internal goals. The Controls Programmer has the technical capability and capacity to understand electrical and mechanical engineering documents as well as the desire to learn to configure and program a variety vendor supplied hardware and software tools.

Controls Programmer Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write and debug Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) code following programmer work instructions or customer requirements
- Program graphic user interfaces
- Assist mechanical and electrical technicians as necessary to ensure the machines' correct functionality and that all systems are in working order
- Confirm the sequence and operation of machines before programming with a mechanical technician or engineer
- Possess a full understanding of administrative functions of the role, following Lanco Integrated standards
- Assist with creating machine manuals, including review for content and accuracy
- Perform field service work as required for system installation, modification, and service
Controls Programmer Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of ladder logic programming for various makers of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred, but not required
- General familiarity with PLC networks, communications, and interfacing of various hardware and software devices
- Knowledge of basic electrical concepts, such as PNP and NPN switches, AC and DC circuits, E-Stop circuits, and stepper/servo motor function
- General familiarity with electrical prints and documents
- Domestic and international travel is required
